Recruitment Policy

Purpose

The purpose of this Recruitment Policy is to establish fair, transparent, and consistent practices for attracting, selecting, and appointing the most suitable candidates to support Materia Scientia LLC’s business objectives while complying with all applicable Australian laws.

Scope

This Policy applies to all recruitment and selection activities for permanent, temporary, contract, and casual positions across Materia Scientia LLC.

Recruitment Principles

  • Workforce Planning – Recruitment will align with strategic workforce requirements, ensuring roles are necessary and clearly defined.
  • Advertising & Attraction – Vacancies will be advertised in appropriate channels to attract a diverse talent pool, including internal opportunities where relevant.
  • Selection – Candidates will be assessed against pre-defined role criteria through interviews, reference checks, and, where applicable, skills assessments.

Responsibilities

  • Hiring Managers – Define role requirements, participate in interviews, and ensure recruitment decisions are fair and documented.
  • HR / Recruitment Team – Manage end-to-end recruitment, ensure compliance, maintain candidate records, and support diversity initiatives.
  • All Employees – Promote Materia Scientia LLC as an employer of choice and refer potential candidates in line with company procedures.

Review

This policy will be reviewed annually or as required to ensure alignment with business needs, best practice, and legislative requirements.
